Author's Message

"You Still Matter" was created in loving memory of my mother-in-law, who we lost to dementia. This book is a heartfelt way to support those who are navigating the challenges of memory loss, while also offering a meaningful resource for caregivers and family members. It's a gentle reminder that, even as memories fade, our loved ones still matter deeply and are loved.

My hope is that this book will bring comfort and a sense of connection, honoring both the person who is living with memory loss and the ones who love them, while also creating a cherished keepsake filled with the heartfelt words and stories.

Moments like these mean everything to me. They’re the reason You Still Matter exists. Seeing the connection and engagement with the book truly touches my heart.

I took the 'You Still Matter' book to one of my patients and while I was showing him each of the pages, he was so engaged and excited. When we got to the page of how he was feeling he circled 'Loved'. I asked him, "Why did you circle Loved?" and he replied, "Because my mom loves me!" His mom is his caregiver and she was super excited to be able to take "You Still Matter" with them anywhere! She mentioned that this is going to help him so much with anxiety and was eager to have other family members that care for him interact with him in this way as well. Every page is full of great ideas, beautiful pitchers and the best part is that you can use the book over and over again with the reusable pages!

Overall, this book is going to help so many people who struggle with
Alzheimer's, dementia and other cognitive challenges.
I highly recommend this book! We Love It!
