The McGavock-Martin House

Backstory

The history of the McGavock-Martin House was written for, Historic Homes, by Lovely Franklin, Katie Shands. Later Margaret Martin asked to have the story in a book. I was then approached to take the story and make into a book for the family. Located in the heart of Historic Downtown Franklin, Tennessee, and built in 1911, this beautiful book captures the home's history and the lives of its inhabitants, serving as a treasured memento for both the family and future homeowners.

Meeting Margaret was a delight, as we enjoyed her Southern hospitality on the charming screened-in porch while sipping her famous sweet tea.
